Benny "Ben" Sullivan

Benny “Ben” John Sullivan age 60,  of Larimore, ND passed away at Altru hospital on Saturday November 27th,2021 surrounded by family.

Ben was born on May 14th, 1961 to Patrick and Ilah (Schol) Sullivan in Northwood, ND. He attended Larimore School and graduated in 1979. He went onto working at Elk Valley Elevator and then joined Larimore School system in 1991 and was very dedicated for the past 30 years.

Ben was a very big part of the Larimore Fire Department starting in 1991 where he earned many titles. 1995-1999 Hose Captain, 2001-President, 2007-2008 Hose Captain, and 2010-2013 Fire Chief. He thoroughly enjoyed his time with them.

Ben married his loving wife on July 7th, 2012. They spent their summers camping, remodeling the house and spending time with family. Ben had many hobbies from woodworking, tinkering in the garage and making Christmas goodies for family and friends. Everyone loved his great sense of humor and he will be truly missed by so many.

Ben was welcomed in heaven by his mother Ilah. He will be missed on Earth by his father Pat Sullivan, Larimore; wife Wendy Sullivan, Larimore; daughter Melissa (Judd) Czapiewski, Casselton; Son Danny Sullivan, Larimore; stepson Justin (Laura) Bjornson, Manvel; Matt (Nicole) Hinze, Grand Forks; 10 Grandchildren; Sisters LeeIla (Keith) Drees, Emerado; Anjie (Rob) Steffen, Arvilla; Brothers Jim Sullivan, Larimore; Brad (Liz) Sullivan, Grand Forks.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL:  11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Larimore.

VISITATION:  Friday, December 3 from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service in St. Stephen’s Catholic Church.  Visitation will also be  held for one hour prior to the service Saturday.

RITE OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL:  Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore.
