BETTY A. McMILLAN

Betty Antoinette McMillan, age 76, of Fordville, ND, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the First Care Health Center of Park River, ND, after a short battle with cancer.
Betty Antoinette Lipsh was born February 28, 1938 on the family farm located near Pisek, ND, the daughter of the late John and Antoinette (Tuma) Lipsh. She attended and graduated from Pisek Public School. On December 29, 1956, Betty was united in marriage to Gary McMillan. The couple resided in Fordville.
Betty was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fordville. She worked at the North Dakota State Developmental Center in Grafton, ND, for 20 years.
Betty was an amazing and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed daily phone calls with her sister Mayme, weekly phone calls with her granddaughter Lucinda, gardening – especially in her flower garden, with her grandson James, fixing puzzles with her granddaughter Tiffany, scrapbooking, reading, and decorating her house.
Betty will be deeply missed by her sons: Jon Brooks (Mary) McMillan, Fordville; Mark (Nancy) McMillan, Park River; her grandchildren: James McMillan, Fordville; Lucinda (Taylor Isakson) McMillan, Mandan and Tiffany McMillan, Grand Forks; siblings: Mayme (George) Jarus, Pembina; Ronald Lipsh, Luxemberg, WI and Donald Lipsh, Warren, MN; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gary on August 23, 1989; parents, brothers: John W. “Buddy”, Leonard, Daniel and sister: Anne.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church in Fordville.

VISITATION: Friday, November 7 from 5 – 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service held in the First Presbyterian Church. Visitation will also be for one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday.

INTERMENT: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fordville.
