Beverly Hemmingsen

Beverly “Bev” Hemmingsen, age 85, of Larimore, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society-Larimore.

Bev was born February 16, 1930 at Niagara, ND, the daughter of Charles and Bertha (Christianson) Conrad. She was raised and grew to womanhood at Niagara. She attended her last year of high school at Central High School in Grand Forks, graduating in 1947. Bev then attended Aaker’s Business College in Grand Forks.

Bev was united in marriage to James Hemmingsen on October 3, 1948 at Elm Grove Lutheran Church. After their marriage the couple lived and farmed in the McCanna area. She was employed as a cook for many years in the Larimore Public School.

Surviving members of her family include her husband James; son Jesse (Donna) Hemmingsen, Livingston, MT; grandchildren: Michael Hemmingsen, Alto, MI and Kelli (Zack) Roberts, Gardner, KS; great grandchildren: Conrad Hemmingsen and Declan Hemmingsen; sister-in-law: Beatrice Hemmingsen, Grand Forks and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Conrad; sister Flora and brother Richard.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Elm Grove Lutheran Church of rural McCanna, ND.

VISITATION: Tuesday, December 29 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service held in the Bakke Funeral Home of Larimore. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service in the church Wednesday.

INTERMENT: Elm Grove Church Cemetery.
