Beverly LaRoque

Beverly LaRoque, age 83, of Grand Forks, ND, and formerly of Larimore, ND, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks.

Beverly was born December 26, 1930 at Gilby, ND, the daughter of John and Rachel (Fox) Williams. She was raised and grew to womanhood at Gilby, and graduated from Gilby High School. She attended Mayville State College, receiving a teacher’s certificate, and taught at Doyon, ND. Beverly married Michael LaRoque June 3, 1950. They lived in various North Dakota communities before moving to Larimore in 1970. After retiring from different jobs, she worked in the Foster Grandparent Program at the Larimore Elementary School, retiring in 2009. She moved to Tufte Manor in Grand Forks following her retirement.

Surviving members of her family include daughters: Cathy (Phil) Brown, Grand Forks; Theresa LaRoque (Joe Schmitz) Emerado; sons: Mic (Sonja) LaRoque, Detroit Lakes, MN; Pat (Roberta) LaRoque, Thief River Falls; Tim (Cheryl) LaRoque, Hampton, VA and Kent (Dawn) LaRoque, of Virginia state; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters: Eva Jane Larsen, Dorothy Seymour, Margaret Opsahl, Gladys Lasham; and 2 brothers: T. Robert Williams and Kenneth Williams.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2014 in the Bakke Funeral Chapel, Larimore.

VISITATION: Sunday, April 6 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a 4 p.m. prayer service held in the Bakke Funeral Home. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the funeral on Monday.

INTERMENT: Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore, ND.
