Blair David Bakke

Blair Bakke age 57 of Grand Forks, ND, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his home

Blair David Bakke was born Dec 13, 1956 in Mayville N.D. to William and Dorothy (Anderson) Bakke. He grew up in Finley and graduated from Finley High School in 1975. After High School he worked in the oil fields in Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado. He then returned to North Dakota and started working at the American Crystal Sugar Beet Factory in East Grand Forks, Mn where he worked for 28 years before having to quit for health reasons. He continued to live in Grand Forks until his death. He died September 10th at his home. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, driving around the countryside and especially visiting with people. He had a huge heart and always enjoyed helping people. He had a special love of animals and enjoyed the company of his cat Shadow.

He will be missed by his loyal friends, Darwin and the neighbors at his apartment complex and his family which include Duane and Sherry Bakke, Finley, N.D. Dennis Bakke of Cody Wy, Susan Spicer of Aneta, N.D. Janice and Robert Ziegler of Finley, N.D, David and Sharon Bakke of Mekinock, N.D. and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and William Bakke, grandparents Cora and James Anderson and Clara and William Bakke, his brother Timothy Bakke and numerous aunts and uncles.

A private graveside service will be held.
