Bonnie Farrell

Bonnie Farrell, age 88, of Larimore, ND, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Northwood Deaconess Health Center with her family by her side.

Bonnie was born at Walhalla, ND on March 9, 1927 to Charles and Mary (Darling) Dunnigan. She was raised and grew to womanhood at Walhalla and graduated from Walhalla High School in 1944.

She worked in Walhalla, ND, Hibbing, MN and Grand Forks, ND prior to meeting the love of her life, Eugene Farrell. They were married October 21, 1961 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Together, they farmed near Larimore and she later worked at Larimore Insurance Agency.

She is survived by her daughter Jeannie and husband David Tvedt (Larimore), granddaughter Kelli Tvedt (Mayville), sister JoAnn Opdahl (Larimore), and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene and daughter Jackie, her parents, and brothers Maurice, Joe, Jack, and Ted and sisters Ruth Meece and Agnes Meece.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Larimore.

VISITATION: Sunday, December 27 from 2-4 p.m. with a 3 p.m. prayer service held in the Bakke Funeral Home of Larimore. Visitation will also be for one hour prior to the service in the church on Monday.
