Cassidy Beth Sandstrom

Cassidy B. Sandstrom, 17, from Emerado, ND, died on Monday, January 5th, 2015, in a tragic school bus collision. Cassidy was born in Grand Forks, ND, on February 22nd, 1997. She was a resident of Emerado, ND. She was a senior at Larimore High School in Larimore, ND.
Some of Cassidy's many accomplishments are; she was an FFA member, and a 4-H member. In 4-H, she showed chickens and rabbits. She was also in choir, volleyball and was a part of the SADD (students against destructive decisions) group. When she was little she played flute and was a cheerleader. Cassidy had many things she loved to do. One of her favorite things to do was read. She always had a book or two with her at all times. She loved to hang out with her friends and family. Cassidy also loved to ride horses and 4-wheelers. She loved being outside. She liked to video tape people and take pictures, but was not a big fan of the camera herself. She loved singing. Cassidy had a contagious laugh and smile that followed her wherever she went.
Cassidy is survived by her parents, Paul and Judy; sister Christa, her niece Crystal, her brother Matt, her grandparents Barb& Dennis Babcock of Englevale, ND, Patty Sandstrom of Lisbon, ND, and Gene & Kandyce Sandstrom of Gwinner, ND. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles, and cousins, Rick & Shelly Sandstrom and their kids Michael and Katie of Chicago, IL, Leroy & Nicky Sandstrom of Lafayette, IN, Diane Fassler and her kids Sam and Allison of Milaca, MN, Jeff & Hanh Overby and their daughter Abby of St. Cloud, MN, and her great grandmother Mabel Sandstrom of Lisbon, ND.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 1:30 pm, in the Larimore High School gym in Larimore, ND.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral in the school on Friday.

Burial will take place in the Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Emerado.

Cassidy Sandstrom was loved by many and will be missed forever.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given.

Officiating will be Rev. Jason Darty. Music selections will be provided by the Larimore School Choir under the direction of Sarah Harlow. A eulogy will be read by Aaron Smestad. Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of the Larimore High School Senior Class. Casket bearers will be Brittany Bridgeman-Shurtleff, Michaela Moen, Carol Rumen, Shelby Heacox, Kendall Edmonds, and Lily Ferguson.
