Daniel Scott Ferdon

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Daniel Ferdon, age 32, of Aurora, Colorado and formerly of Larimore,  ND, our most beloved husband, uncle, brother, son and friend passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 3 ^rd , 2021.

Daniel was born July 23, 1988, the son of Gerald and Ann Ferdon, at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base, Michigan, and grew up in Larimore, North Dakota. He graduated from Larimore High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota. He started working in Grand Forks, North Dakota as a Registered Nurse and continued his career in Denver, Colorado.

He was united in marriage to Candace Knight on September 19, 2020 and made a home in Aurora, Colorado.

He was most at home enjoying God’s creation whether it was snowboarding, paddle boarding, or adventuring through the mountains and lakes of Colorado. He was a fearless adventurer and was surrounded by his friends, whom he loved so dearly, at the time of his passing.

Daniel will be missed everyday by his wife, Candace Ferdon; parents, Ann and Gerald Ferdon of Larimore, North Dakota; sister, Jessica (Trever) Piseno of Grand Forks, North Dakota; brother, Jerry (Jamie) Ferdon of Arvada, Colorado; sister, Stacey Ferdon of Larimore, North Dakota; father-in-law, Jeff Knight; mother-in-law, Danielle Knight; brother-in-law, Todd Knight; brother-in-law, Cameron Knight- all of Aurora, Colorado; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents; and his fur babies, Kai and Kainan.

Daniel’s family is heartbroken over his sudden death. Those who knew Daniel, even a little, lost a kind soul and shining light.

Daniel’s Funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 in Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Larimore, North Dakota with a reception to follow.

Friends and family are invited to visit with Daniel’s family at the Bakke Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, June 13.  Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral in the church Monday.

Interment will be held in Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Ferdon Family.
