Edith Skyrud

Edith Skyrud, age 96, of Merced, CA and formerly of Fordville,ND passed away on Wed. Feb. 6 at Merced.

She was born to Carl and Sophie Peterson on November 4, 1916 and married Curtis Skyrud, of Edinburg, on December 7, 1938.

She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Skyrud, parents Carl and Sophie Peterson, and brothers Arvin, Clarence, Ernest and Sidney.

She is survived by her son Skip and daughter-in-law Carol Skyrud Mariposa, CA; grandson Matt Skyrud, Folsom, CA; granddaughter Kristin Vest, Topeka, KS and two great grandchildren: Jeffrey and Cheyenne Skyrud.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday May 10 at the Oak Grove Cemetery of Fordville.

The Bakke Funeral Home of Fordville is in charge of arrangements.
