ETHEL HOLWEGER

Ethel Holweger, age 88, of Ottertail, MN and formerly of Arvilla, ND, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Perham Health Care Center, Perham, MN.


Ethel Holweger was born October 30, 1923 at Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Jacob
and Echo (King) Holweger. She was raised and grew to womanhood in the Emerado area where she also received her public education.


Ethel married Walter Holweger on February 15, 1944 at East Grand Forks, MN. After their marriage, the couple lived in the Emerado area until 1958 when they moved to the Arvilla area to live and farm. Walter preceded her in death on April 28, 1993.


Surviving members of her family include her daughter: Ethelynn (Wayne) Snyder, Ottertail, MN; daughter-in-law: Alice Holweger, Arvilla; 6 grandchildren: Kristy (Travis) Unruh, Diana (Don) Larson, Lori (Shawn) Amundson, Paul Snyder, Brent Snyder, Gina (Brandon) Dahlseid; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.


She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Walter, son: Eugene, infant daughter, and brother: Gordon.


FUNERAL SERVICES: 10 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 in the Arvilla Presbyterian Church, Arvilla, ND.


INTERMENT: Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.


VISITATION: Wednesday, September 12 from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service held in the Bakke Funeral Home of Larimore, ND. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the funeral in the church Thursday.
