Eugene Behm

EUGENE “GENE” BEHM
Eugene “Gene” Behm, age 84 of Grand Forks and formerly of Niagara, ND, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Gene was born May 17, 1929 at Niagara, ND, the son of George and Pauline (Bartuli) Behm. He was raised and grew to manhood near Niagara where he also received his public education. Gene received Holy Baptism and confirmed his Christian faith at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, where he was a lifelong, active member and served on the Church Council for over 45 years. Gene married Gertie Wolfgram on June 1, 1952 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church. Gene was a lifelong farmer in the Niagara area. He served as Plymouth Township Supervisor for 23 years.
Surviving members of his family include his wife: Gertie; daughter: Barb (Steve) Snyder, Arvilla; sons: Chuck (Cam) Behm, Arvilla and Larry (Colleen) Behm, Niagara; 7 grandchildren: Tony (Jessica) Snyder, Craig (Cathy) Snyder; Chris (Melissa) Snyder; Kylie (Jory) Nissen; Kelly Behm, Bryce Behm, and Caleb Behm; 10 great grandchildren; brother; Earl “Squirt” (Margaret) Behm, and sister: Joyce (Daral) Kankelfritz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Charles and Victor and an infant sister.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church of Niagara.

VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral in the church on Tuesday.

INTERMENT: St. Andrew Lutheran Cemetery, Niagara.
