Everett Paulson

Everett Paulson, 80, Arvilla, ND passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at Edgewood Vista in East Grand Forks, MN.

Everett Willis Paulson was born February 11, 1937 in Emerado, ND, the son of Clarence and Elizabeth (Holweger) Paulson. He attended school at Pleasant View country school, Central High School, and graduated from Larimore High School in 1955. He attended Aaker’s Business College. Everett married Arlene Lieberg on June 8, 1958 at Larimore Presbyterian Church, Larimore, ND. They moved to Arvilla, ND where he resided until entering Edgewood Vista Memory Care Facility on May 10, 2017.

Everett was a horseman all his life. He would break horses his dad brought back from Montana as a teenager and spent a lot of time showing the famous Paulson Palominos with his siblings. As a young man, he entered into the horseback riding business known as The Paulson Riding Ranch. He also continued to show horses with his children and went on to share his love of riding with his grandchildren.

Everett was a Journeyman electrician and a proud member of the IBEW, local 1426. He worked for several electrical contractors and had the opportunity to travel to jobs in many parts of the country. He also worked overseas for a time in Germany and later in Okinawa before retiring from the profession.

Everett was a member of the Arvilla Presbyterian Church, Arvilla Community Club, and the Larimore Senior Center.

Remaining family members include his wife, Arlene; daughters, Beth (Jim) Heider, McCanna, Brenda (Kelly) Beck, Arvilla, son, Craig (Janene), Bozeman, MT; 10 grandchildren, Brandon (Renae) Heider, Nathan (Annie Gobell) Heider, Joshua Beck, Lyndsi (Shawn) Jamison, Kyle (Ashley Gunnis) Beck, Dustin Beck, Elizabeth (Devin) Langerud, Katie (Nick) LeSage, Maggie Richardson, Tucker (Katie Germscheid) Richardson; 7 great grandchildren; two sisters, Eunice (Ken) Diehl, Elgin, Connie Denault, Two Rivers, WI; one brother, Arnold (Eileen), Emerado; two sisters-in-law, Linda Schmidt, Arvilla, Judy Paulson, Grand Forks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Cody Beck; brothers, Marvis and Gaylon; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Denault, Bruce Lieberg, and Donald Barry; nephew, Matthew Barry.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 8, 2017 4-6 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at Bakke Funeral Home, Larimore, ND. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Arvilla Presbyterian Church, Arvilla, ND. Visitation will be for one hour before the service. Burial will be at Arvilla Cemetery.
