Glenn Stevens, age 95, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Fordville, ND, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Valley Senior Living Woodside Village.
Glenn was born December 3, 1924 near Lawton, ND, the son of Andrew Stevens, Sr. and Gunhild (Kittelson) Stevens. He was raised and grew to manhood in the Lawton and Edmore areas. He attended and graduated from Edmore High School. Glenn was united in marriage to Shirley Ridgway on June 29, 1947 in Fordville. The couple lived and farmed near Fordville. After their retirement they moved into Fordville and later moved to Grand Forks.
Surviving members of his family include daughters: Jeanine (Ron) Omdahl, Grand Forks; Ann (Clare) Lee, Minot and Becky (Tim) Mehlhoff, Grand Forks; grandchildren: Nathan (Christine) Blasky, Carrie (Chans) Huffman, Kelsey (Bryan) Scholler, Jacob Mehlhoff and Brooke Mehlhoff; great-grandchildren: Ryder, Bryson and Nash Blasky; Quinn and Madelyn Scholler; brother-in-law: Dean Ridgway; and sisters-in-law: Lois (Paul) Gillespie and Janice Ward, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, daughter Peggy Blasky, son-in-law Wayne Blasky, his parents, sisters Anna Grace (Edwin) Melland, Dolores (Oscar) Nyberg, brother Andy (Alice) Stevens, and brother-in-law Durand Ward.
FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 24 in the Fordville Lutheran Church, Fordville, ND.
VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral in the church.
INTERMENT: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fordville.
