Harold Sather

Harold Sather, age 74, of Larimore, ND passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Harold Sather was born June 28, 1943 at Larimore, ND the son of Henry and Doris (Christenson) Sather. He attended school in Moraine Township and grew to manhood in the Niagara, ND area. Harold was inducted into the United States Army in 1960. After receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1966, he worked for Dick Georgeson and Morris Rustebakke. He then worked for Marvin Svedberg and Albert Swanson and became employed by Brad Swanson Construction until his retirement in 2005. Harold married Carol Schultz in 1969 at Bethel Lutheran Church of rural Larimore.

Surviving members of his family include his wife: Carol; daughter: Tracey Reistad, Larimore; son: Rodney (Charlene) Sather, Larimore; grandchildren: Kenneth, Adam, Aaron Reistad, Carolyn and Theodore Sather, and Deanna Piatz; sisters-in-law: Joanie Sather, Larimore and Joan Sather, in Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son: Richard; his parents, brothers: Duane, Dennis, Gordy and sister: Louise Surface.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 1 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Bakke Funeral Home Chapel in Larimore, ND.

VISITATION will be held for one hour prior to the service.

INTERMENT: Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore.

MILITARY HONORS: Ted Valerius Post 97 and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Team.
