Ingdolph Johnson

Ingdolph Johnson, age 95, of Park River, ND and formerly of Fordville, ND passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 at Good Samaritan Society-Park River.

Ingdolph was born October 8, 1919 in Cleveland Township, Walsh County, near Fordville, the son of John I. and Gina (Jarstad) Johnson. He was a lifelong member of Quale Lutheran Church where he received Holy Baptism and confirmed his Christian faith; and where he had served as a church officer. Ingdolph was raised and grew to manhood in Cleveland Township where he attended rural public school. He then attended and graduated from the Park River Walsh County Agricultural School. He was a lifelong farmer and raised livestock in the Dahlen area. For several years, the Johnson Family had an annual threshing bee on the family farm.

A single man, he is survived by his sister: Gloria Grinter, Park River; brothers: Oliver (Lorna) Johnson, Grand Forks and Lloyd (Margaret) Johnson, Shakopee, MN; and several nieces and nephews: Luanne (Daniel) Lane, Lake Zurich, IL; John (Sherri) Halstenson, Grand Forks; Michael Johnson, Fordville; Louis Jon (Terri) Machart, Park River; Gordon (Debbie) Johnson, Fordville; Myrna (Doug) Runyan, Grand Forks; Lori (Gary) Thompson, Valley City; Randy Grinter, Park River; Gary Johnson, Devils Lake; Lowell (Lora) Machart, Grand Forks; Loren (Wendy) Machart, Park River; Michele Johnson, Washington, D.C.; Kim (Tim) Porter, Shakopee; and Nicole Johnson, Shakopee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: John Henry Johnson; sister and brother-in-law: Opal and Myron Halstenson; sister and brother-in-law: Iverna and Louis Machart and brother-in-law: Lionel Grinter.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at Quale Lutheran Church of rural Fordville, ND.

VISITATION: Thursday, October 1 from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service held in the Bakke Funeral Home of Fordville. Visitation will also be for one hour prior to the funeral in the church Friday.

INTERMENT: Quale Church Cemetery, rural Fordville.
