James "Jay" Beaver

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James "Jay" Malloy Beaver. Jay, 44, of Niagara, ND, passed away suddenly in his home on Saturday, September 6th.

Jay was born at GF AFB on 7/16/1981 to Michael and Dorothy Beaver. But luckily he spent most of his life in Niagara, ND as he was a farm boy through and through. Preferring the quiet country life and company of his family to the bright lights of the city.

Jay lived and breathed for his family. He married Jody Horton in July 2001, and while that marriage didn't work, he was blessed with his eldest son Anson. In 2007, He met Marcy Hamm and his destined-to-be daughter, Aria. Jayson came along in Oct 2008 to complete the family. Jay and Marcy were married in May 2010.

Jay worked at Simplot for 17 years alongside his mom, before getting his dream job as the Niagara grader operator in 2020.  In 2019, he marked another lifelong dream of buying his grandparents farm to keep it in the family for another generation.

Jay will be remembered for his kind heart, and his love and devotion for his family. He enjoyed spending time with the family, riding motorcycle, and being the local blade man.

Jay is survived by his loving wife, Marcy,  children (Anson, Aria, and Jayson), parents, grandparents, siblings, and large extended family.

We know Jay was greeted at the gates by the many waiting loved ones.

Service will be held at Bakke funeral home on Wednesday, September 17th at 2pm. Burial will follow at the Bellevue cemetery with a gathering at Good Friends in Larimore, ND.
