Janice Joern

Janice Joern, age 70, of Larimore, ND passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Janice was born December 3, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Frances (Ward) Olson. The family moved to North Dakota in the early 50s where she attended school in Larimore, graduating from Larimore High School in 1965. Janice became an LPN and worked as a nurse for many years at Aneta Nursing Home, Northwood Nursing Home and retiring from the Good Samaritan Society-Larimore. Her hobbies included cross stitch, reading and bingo. Janice loved the company of her pets.

Janice married Earl Joern on March 3, 2000 at New Rockford, ND. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2008.

She is survived by sisters-in-law: Beatrice Schulz, Michigan, ND and Adeline Rupple, Greeley, CO; many nieces and special friends: Jim and Stacy Schlett and children of Larimore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Arthur Ward Olson.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 1 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Elk Valley Lutheran Church near McCanna, ND.

VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral in the church on Friday.

INTERMENT: Elk Valley Church Cemetery.
