Joan Frances Rolin

Joan Rolin, age 83, of Moorhead, MN and formerly of Rothsay, MN passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Golden Living Center, Moorhead.
Joan was born April 3, 1931 on the family farm near Kent, MN the daughter of Theodore and Frances (Burman) Krueger. She was raised and grew to womanhood there and graduated from Breckenridge, MN, High School. On December 18, 1951 Joan married Merlin Rolin. The couple lived and farmed near Rothsay. In 1985, they moved to Moorhead. Merlin preceded her in death on August 1, 1991.
Surviving members of her family include her children: Jeff (Diann) Rolin, Alexandria, MN; Melissa (David) Bakke, Larimore, ND; Janelle (Ronald) Daugherty, Walcott, ND and Merwyn Rolin, Baudette, MN; 7 grandchildren: Stephanie (Corey) Groetsch, John (Marissa) Rolin; Michael (Heather) Rolin; Paul Bakke; Sarah (Jeff) Hovde; Mari (Dennis) Wanzek; Erik (Darcie) Daugherty; 14 great grandchildren: Samara and Savana Groetsch; Ayla and Sam Rolin; Lance, Adam and Jack Rolin: Abigail Hovde; Riley, Simon and Mabel Wanzek; Alex, Bradyn and Tysen Daugherty; brother: Glen (Betty) Krueger, Breckenridge, sister: Delores (Virlyn) Strander, Pelican Rapids, MN and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson Andrew Bakke, her parents, brother Loren, sister Audrey Buth and an infant sister Jean.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 401 – 40th Ave. S in Moorhead

VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral in the church.

INTERMENT: Hamar Cemetery, Rothsay, MN
