John “Jack” Brelie, 71, Larimore, ND died August 4 th , 2022 in Wallace, Idaho.
Jack was born July 15 th , 1951, to Gordon “Gordy” and Margaret “Peggy” Brelie. He attended Larimore High School and graduated in 1970. He went on to get degrees from University of Mary in Behavioral Sciences, and NDSCS of Wahpeton in Business Administration.
Jack married Sandra “Sandi” Suko on July 25 th , 1981.
They lived in Larimore, ND where they started their family by adopting Jason Brelie and Nicole (Brelie) Kolbow. They later moved to Grand Forks, ND where Jack worked and retired from Cross Country Courier.
Jack loved the outdoors and was an avid outdoor sportsman. He hunted a variety of game and shot competitively with his children Jason and Nicole who traveled around the state competing and placing in shooting competitions.
Traveling was Jack’s other great passion; he loved to explore and see what America had to offer. Every winter, he and Sandi would travel to Florida to visit Jack’s twin sisters Sheri Brelie and Geri Burkhalter. His last trip with Sandi was to Alaska, which was on Jack’s Bucket List of travel destinations.
Jack is survived by his wife Sandra Brelie, his son Jason Brelie, his daughter Nicole (Brelie) Kolbow and son-in-law Joshua Kolbow, his granddaughter Mykie Kolbow, his sisters Sheri Brelie, Geri Burkhalter and brother-in-law Dave Burkhalter, and his nephews Danny and Matt Burkhalter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordy and Peggy Brelie.
Service September 9 th at 1:30 pm at Bakke Funeral Home in Larimore ND
Burial at Bellevue cemetery, Larimore.
