Kelley Bakke, age 55, of Fargo, was called to her heavenly home on November 17 th , 2021, at Sanford Hospital of Fargo surrounded by family.

Kelley Jo Bakke was born May 21, 1966, in Mayville, North Dakota, to her parents Beverly and Glen Knetter. Kelley was baptized at the Catholic church in Mayville before moving to Lakota where she grew up and graduated high school in 1984.

Kelley married Michael Schmidt in 1985 and was blessed with four boys: Dustin, Darrin, Michael, and Cole. On February 14, 1998, Kelley married Vance Bakke and was blessed with another son Trace. Kelley enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, especially during the holiday seasons. She loved being a mom and above all loved being a grandma. She cherished every moment she spent with her children and grandchildren. Kelley spent most of her time cheering for her children and grandchildren whether it was next to the wrestling mat or cheering on the sidelines for their motocross races. Kelley also had a love for animals, especially cats. She had numerous cats over the years and most recently provided a loving home to Smokers, Quincy, Hollie Berries, Foxy, and Burrito. Kelley was a very hard worker. She was a bookkeeper for various companies for many years before running her own successful residential and commercial cleaning business.

Kelley is survived by her children Dustin (Brianne) Schmidt of Northwood; Darrin Schmidt of Larimore; Michael Schmidt II of Larimore; Cole (Brittney) Schmidt of Larimore; and Trace (Hannah) Bakke of West Fargo; grandchildren Madison and Carson, Logan, Tucker and Blakely; Mother Beverly; mother-in-law Vicky Bakke; sisters Sherry (Don) Brown of Fargo, Colleen (Bob) Anderson of Mayville, Laurie Robinson of Fargo, Kim (Rodger) Reed of Alburnett Iowa, Dane Knetter of Green Bay, and numerous other family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband Vance Bakke; father Glen Knetter; father-in-law Jerome Bakke; brothers Travis Knetter and Lance Knetter, and sister Lisa Hazelman.

Funeral Services for Kelley Bakke will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 2:00pm at St Stephen’s Catholic Church of Larimore with  visitation beginning at 1:00pm.  Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore.
