Le’Anne Kae Solberg was born August 27, 1939 to Carl and Lillian
Solberg in Hatton, North Dakota. Le’Anne was baptized and confirmed
at St. John’s Lutheran Church where she was a lifelong member. She
graduated from Hatton High School in 1957. Following graduation, she
attended Mayville State University until she returned home to care for
her parents.
Following her mother’s death, Le’Anne was employed at the Tri-County
Nursing Home. She also worked for Ole and Lena’s Lefse Factory and
until the time of her death, Bonita’s Pizza.
Le’Anne was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church throughout
her life serving on the Church Council and as church secretary,
teaching Sunday School, singing in the senior and ladies’ choirs, and
participating in the ladies’ church circle.
Throughout her life, Le’Anne had a deep love for her family and the
church. Her interests included a love for sports, especially the New
York Yankees, and politics. Le’Anne’s true spirit is described in one
of her favorite hymns – Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I
have needed Thy hand hath provided. Great is thy faithfulness, Lord
unto me.
Le’Anne passed away unexpectedly July 25, 2013 at the Mayville Hospital.
Le’Anne is survived by her brother, Cyrus Solberg and wife Betty Jo of
Tyler, MN, nephews Mark Solberg and family of Cambridge, MN and John
Solberg and family of Mitchell, SD, and nieces Ruth Rupp and family of
Ruthton, MN and Sarah Libbon and family of Duluth, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lillian.
Le’Anne’s love for her family and the Lord guided her throughout her
73 years of life. She will be remembered for many things by her
family, but most of all, her many years of serving as a caregiver not
only for her parents, but for the many people she touched while
working in the nursing home and others she came into contact with.
She will be sorely missed by her immediate family. Blessed be her
memory.
