Lillian C. Jallo, age 95 of Park River, ND, passed away on Monday February 19, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society of Park River.
Lillian C. Berdahl was born October 26, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ellen (Sand) Berdahl. She attended school near Dahlen and graduated from Dahlen High School. Lillian also attended Mayville State Teachers College where she earned her teaching degree. She taught grades 1-8 at a country school in Cleveland Township in Walsh County.
Lillian was united in marriage to Orvin Jallo on Nov 3, 1946 at the Fordville Parsonage. The couple lived and farmed in Cleveland Township until retiring to Park River, ND, in 1982. While in Park River, she enjoyed waitressing at the Alexander House.
She was a member of the Quale Lutheran Church and WELCA, and a member of the Bosh-Ryba American Legion Auxiliary for the past 70 years. Lillian held several offices in both organizations. She was 2nd District President of the American Legion Auxiliary from 1978-1980. She and her husband loved to dance and were members of the Polka Lover’s Klub of America. She was a wonderful cook and baker, with homemade treats always on hand for visitors and guests. Lillian lived a life devoted to family and neighbors, and her love of the farm where she lived was undeniable. The joy and laughter brought by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren richly blessed her life.
Lillian is survived by her children: June Ann (Art) Selseth, Minto, ND; Leslie (Debra) Jallo, Minto, ND; Wayne (Genell) Jallo, Fordville, ND; her sister IdaMae Ohnstad, Grand Forks, ND; six grandchildren: Julie (James) Mach, Fargo, ND; Angie (Robert) Enedy, Hampton, MN; Jana (Edward) Samek, West Fargo, ND; Phillip (Jen) Jallo, Lankin, ND; Nathan Jallo, Fordville, ND; Adam (Ashley Hesby) Jallo, Fordville, ND; and eight great-grandchildren: Reilly, Andy and Eli Mach; Taya and Aiden Samek; Leah Enedy; Hudson and Jacob Jallo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 45 years on December 17, 1991.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at Quale Lutheran Church near Fordville, ND.
Honorary Tribute will be given by Members of the Lankin American Legion Auxiliary.
VISITATION will be held in Quale Lutheran Church on Thursday, February 22 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral.
INTERMENT: Quale Church Cemetery.
