Louise Surface

Louise Surface, 81, of Larimore, ND passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at Good Samaritan Society-Larimore.

Louise was born November 26, 1934 at rural Larimore, the daughter of Henry and Doris (Christenson) Sather. She was raised and grew to womanhood in the rural Niagara, ND, area. Louise married Neil Surface on July 28, 1951 in Grand Forks. Following their marriage the couple lived in Niagara until moving to Larimore in 1968. She was employed as a cook in various restaurants until retiring.

Surviving members of her family include her daughter; Doreen (Ken Ranisate) Davidson; sons: Kenneth Surface and Terry Surface, all of Larimore; grandchildren: Neil, Chad, Eliza, Travis, Robert; several great grandchildren; brother: Harold (Carol) Sather, Larimore; sisters-in-law: Joanie Sather, Larimore; Joan Sather and Veraine Surface both of Grand Forks; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers: Duane, Dennis and Gordy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 12 in the Good Friends Community Room in Larimore.
