Margaret Behm

Margaret Behm, age 84, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Niagara, ND, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.

Margaret was born November 2, 1935 at Michigan, ND, the daughter of George and Josephine (Weber) Yoney.  She was raised and grew to womanhood in the Michigan area.  She received her public education and graduated from Michigan High School.  Margaret was united in marriage to Earl “Squirt” Behm on February 21, 1956 in Grand Forks.  After their marriage, the couple lived in Grand Forks until 1957 when they moved to Niagara and purchased the grocery store which they operated until 1966.  After retirement, the couple enjoyed traveling.  Mr. Behm preceded her in death on September 30, 2013.

Surviving members of her family include her sons:  Roger (Marilyn) Behm, Mentor, MN; Robert (Kelly) Behm, Bismarck, ND; daughters:  Jolene (Kevin) Nason, Lakeland, FL, Jill Kroke, Michigan, ND; 11 Grandchildren, 10 Great-grandchildren, 1 Great-great-grandchild; son-in-law:  Michael Wardzinski, Bismarck, ND; sisters-in-law:  Gertrude Behm, Grand Forks, Joyce(Darel) Kankelfritz, Fargo.  She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter  Carla, and her parents.

FUNERAL SERVICES:  11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 2019 in St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Niagara, ND.

VISITATION:  One hour prior to the service in the church.

INTERMENT:  St. Andrew Lutheran Cemetery, Niagara
