Marianne Luella Snyder, age 98, passed away at home on August 14, 2026 in Cherokee Village, Arkansas, from a stroke, while living with her daughter and son-in-law Joan and Dwight Temple.
Marianne was born in Hammond, Indiana on November 5, 1927 to Clifford Malloy Beaver and Lillie Catherine (Swanson) Beaver. Soon the Beavers moved to Arvilla. She had three siblings Evelyn (Norwood) Snyder, Donald (Ethyl Mootz), George (Elaine Mootz, Mary Brady)Beaver. Marianne went to grade school in Arvilla, North Dakota, and High School in Larimore North Dakota. She got engaged her junior year to William (Bill) Snyder. In 1946 Marianne and Bill Snyder were married in St Stephen’s Catholic Church. In the fall they moved to Washington where Bill trained to be an electrician and his training moved them around the state, where their 4 children were born, and ended in Kennewick. In 1962, they returned to North Dakota to farm with Bill’s brother Duane, as Bill’s father was retiring from farming. Marianne was very active in her church, sang in the choir for 35 years, raised her children in the faith, she bowled, loved snowcatting, roller & ice skated (until she was 35). Her all time love was Baseball, going to games, watching MLB, knew her teams and players, lived by 2 farm teams (Tri City Braves and Grand Forks Chiefs) and took her family to their games Marianne went to her sons games from little league thru legion ball, watched her grand & great grandchildren play, and worked at Miller’s grocery in Emerado a couple years and at the base warehouse in purchasing a couple years.
They retired from farming when Bill was in his middle 50’s and became “snowbirds” in the winter. First, back to Washington, where Bill worked once again as an electrician; then in the 1980’s retired again and went to Arizona for the winter, where they learned to golf. While there Marianne hiked the Superstition Mountains and joined a hiking club. In 1990 they moved back to North Dakota for good. After Bill died in 1996 Marianne married Warren Snyder in 1997. After his death in 2015, Marianne spent her winters in Alabama, near her son David. In November 2017, her Son Terry passed away, in February 2018 son David passed away. Marianne left Alabama and lived with her daughter Joan in Bemidji until Joan retired and they moved to Arkansas. In January 2020 son Steven passed away. 3 children and a husband in a very short time.
Marianne came from and had a very loving family. She had 4 children, David (Terry Galbraith, Linda Nelson), Terry (Cathy Lee, Martha Reif), Steven (Barbara Behm), Joan (Terrence Hager, Gregory Fox, Dwight Temple), 13 grandchildren, Nichole (Mike Boer) Shelly Jack, Jamie (LaVonne) Jack, Chad (Lisa) Snyder, Jon (Amanda) Snyder, Mathew (Vianey) Snyder, Denise Snyder, Tony (Bridget) Snyder, Craig (Cathy) Snyder, Chris (Melisa) Snyder, Ryan (Tiffany) Hager, Sarah (Jon Vigorito) many great and great-great grandchildren who loved her very much.
Those who preceded her in death: parents: Clifford/Lillie Beaver, siblings: Evelyn, Donald, George, Husbands: William, Warren; Sons: David, Terry and Steven. Sisters-in-law Dorie Archigo, Mary Beaver, Edell Snyder, Brothers-in-law: Norwood Snyder, Duane Snyder, Tom Archigo; Special Friends: Milton/May Williams and Dean Wetzel. May they all rest in peace.
