Marlene Tveit

Marlene Claire Tveit, age 86, of Larimore, North Dakota, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 12, 2025 in the Good Samaritan Society-Larimore.

Marlene was born on March 18, 1939, in Bismarck, North Dakota to August & Helen (Shide) Wageman. In 1942, she moved with her family to California, where she spent most of her childhood and early adult years in Manhattan Beach.

In 1975, Marlene made the brave decision to move to Larimore, North Dakota, with her two teenage daughters, Susie and Brenda. With courage, strength, and love, she built a new life in a small town far from the ocean she once knew.

On January 19, 1979, Marlene married the love of her life, Harold Tveit. Soon they welcomed daughter Kristie.

Marlene was known for her excellent cooking - feeding family, friends and farmers. She took pride in her garden and home. She was a proud, loving, and devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Marlene will be remembered for her kind and gentle heart, her sense of humor, and her ability to make those around her feel loved and cared for. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family creating memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years Harold, Larimore, ND. Daughters Susie (Jeff) Pfeifer, Detroit Lakes, MN, Brenda Steffens, Walcott, ND and Kristie (Paul) Hagen, Moorhead, MN. Grandkids Anthony Day, Zachery Hansen and Jocelyn, Jebediah and Havanna Hagen. Great Grandkids Tristan and August Day.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, and in-laws Sigurd & Beatrice Tveit.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 17 in the Bakke Funeral Chapel, Larimore.

VISITATION: One hour prior to the service.

INTERMENT: Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore, ND.
