Marvin Clarence Meyer

Marvin Clarence Meyer, 86, of Anthem, AZ passed away on March 12, 2020. He was born May 8 ^th , 1933 in Niagara, North Dakota to Clarence and Margaret Meyer of Larimore, North Dakota.

Marv’s greatest day was marrying Anna Marie Reitan on September 4 ^th , 1954 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Larimore, North Dakota. Anna Marie preceded him to Heaven by a little over a year.

He is survived by daughter Linda and her husband John, sons Michael and his wife Melinda, Gregory and his wife Denise, Douglas and his wife Mary; as well as nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a loving sister Marilyn McGinley of Williston, North Dakota.

Marvin was a friend to all who knew him. His careers included the United States Air Force where he achieved the rank of Colonel and was a Captain with United Air Lines. His flying career included over 23,000 hours in the air. He was a student of flying as well as an instructor capable of reciting the take-off and landing procedures for most every plane he ever flew.

Marv enjoyed numerous athletic endeavors, coaching his children, vacationing with dear friends and all things North Dakota. He was full of JOY in his final days at the thought of reuniting with friends, his parents and the love of his life, Anna Marie.

FUNERAL SERVICES:  1 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Larimore, ND.

INTERMENT:  Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore, ND.
