Maxine Barry

Maxine Elaine Smith Barry, 82 years, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on November 4, 2022. Maxine was born on August 12, 1940, to Harry and Merle Smith of Larimore. She grew up and attended elementary and high school in Larimore and graduated in 1958. She enjoyed her time in high school and stayed in touch with many friends over the years, especially her best friend, Marilyn Johnson.

Maxine was the youngest of 13 children and was spoiled by her nine sisters and three brothers. She loved and treasured them all.

Maxine married the love of her life, Kenneth Barry, in September 1957. Together they had three children. Maxine loved her children with all her heart. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her so much joy.

Maxine is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, parents Harry and Merle Smith, sisters Mildred, Marion, Marjorie, Lois, Luverne, Elrae, Janice, and JoAnn. Brothers Wayne, Lyndell, and Clayton.

She is survived by her children Brent Barry, Mark (Hope) Barry, and Sandra (Tim) Klawon, all of Larimore, and her much-loved sister Mavis Wold of Minneapolis, MN, along with her very special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

We will miss her unfiltered sense of humor, kindness, and the love she had for all of us.

FUNERAL SERVICES:  10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 10 in Living Faith Free Lutheran Church, Larimore.

VISITATION:  One hour prior to the service in the church.

INTERMENT:  Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore.
