Owen F. Thomas

Owen  F. Thomas, age 78, of Fordville, ND passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks.

Owen was born October 11, 1940 at Grafton, ND, the son of William and Isabel (Grabanski) Thomas.  He was raised and grew to manhood at Inkster, where he also received his public education.  He lived and farmed his whole life in the Inkster area.  Owen drove school bus for Midway Public School.  He also worked for J. R. Simplot in Grand Forks and RDO Foods.   Owen married Carol Thorne in 1969.  His special friend was his dog “Suzie”.

Surviving members of his family include his wife Carol, Fordville; sons Owen L. Thomas,  Fordville; Brian Thomas;  daughter Mae Thomas, Fordville, and his brother William Thomas of St. Paul, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Wayne.

FUNERAL SERVICES:  10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Inkster Lutheran Church, Inkster, ND.

VISITATION:  Monday, July 22 from 5-7 p.m. in the Bakke Funeral Home of Larimore.  Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral in the church Tuesday.

INTERMENT:   Inkster Cemetery, Inkster.
