Raymond Krueger, age 81, of rural Niagara, ND, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks.

It was a springlike day on February 18, 1945, when the only son of Bill and Gertie Krueger was born, Raymond Carl. He was baptized and confirmed in Christ at rural St. Andrew Lutheran Church. He attended parochial school there through grade 8. He learned to be a skilled welder and figured bushels per acre at Ag School in Crookston. He would sit in front of the TV drafting an articulating tractor he built and used for 25 years. Ray faithfully kept the 2 old church furnaces working.

Ray served almost 50 years on the Plymouth Township board. He enjoyed interesting trips to Australia, the Caribbean and Panama Canal; and his new Challenger. Like in 2 Chronicles 26:10, he and King Uzziah, “loved the soil”.

Ray is survived by his sisters: Sue (Dennis) Neels, Niagara and Trish Solbakken, Fargo. Nieces and nephew: Becky (Kyran) Haselhan and family Williams Lake, BC, Canada; Beth (Sam) Rahberg and family, St. Paul, MN and Andy (Megan) Neels and family Coeur d’ Alene, ID.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Terry Solbakken.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. in  St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Niagara, ND, with VISITATION one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in St. Andrew Lutheran Cemetery, rural Niagara.
