Richard "Rick" Allen Beaver

Richard “Rick” Allen Beaver, age 60, of Niagara, ND, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Richard “Rick” Allen Beaver was born in Grand Coulee, Washington on June 29, 1960, the son of Elaine and James Cottrell, and the late George Beaver.  He married Kathy (McDonald) Beaver on June 28, 2002.  The couple resided in Niagara.

Rick graduated from Grand Forks Central High School and attended AVTI in East Grand Forks, MN.  He worked various jobs in the area.  Rick was postmaster in Niagara at the time of his death.  He loved to take rides in his buggy, play darts, visit with friends, spend time with his pets, listen to Elvis Presley, and play on the computer.

Rick is survived by his wife Kathy; his parents Elaine and James; brother Mike (Dorothy) Beaver; sisters:  Bonnie (Ray) Guanti; Janell (Brent) Trosen; Kathy (Jim) Stout and Kristin (Andy) Swenson; father-in-law Robert Schultz; aunts Marianne Snyder, Ethel Beaver and Patsy (Larry) Strand, Agnes Crews;  Oscar and Dianne Cottrell; and many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his special friends Matthew Halstenson and Boss Mary Kay.

Richard was preceded in death by his father George and stepmother Mary Beaver; mother-in-law Donna Schultz, grandparents Cliff and Lillie Beaver, Richard and Maudie Mootz, Roscoe and Dorothy Cottrell, Marlene Moore, special uncle Donald Beaver and his cousin Julie Beaver.
