Robert Jay Smith, Jr.

Robert Jay Smith, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the age of 27.

Robert was born July 1, 1995.  He was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend to many.  His love for his siblings was untouchable.

Robert left behind many broken hearts:  his mother Sherril Borgen Smith, Larimore; father Robert Smith, Sr. living in Minnesota; brother Michael Barry and Erin Voss, Grand Forks; sisters Cassandra and Colton Anderson, Emerado, Destiny Smith, Grand Forks; grandparents  Dennis and Geri Borgen, Aneta; aunt and uncle John and Sheila Northrop, Thornhill, TN; cousin and friend: Jason and Marrisa Northrop, Clinton, TN and many cousins and friends.

His family was very important to him.  They loved him dearly.  Once Robert knew you, he would do anything for you.  His compassion was one of his greatest qualities.  He saw far beyond a person’s faults.

Robert loved animals and all creepy crawly things since a child.

Robert, believe it or not, was a whiz at math of any kind; large equations he did instantly in his head. (I don’t know where he got that!)

Robert was also known far and wide for his enormous heart.

Come celebrate his life on  August 18 at 6 p.m. in the Banquet Room of Good Friends in Larimore.
