Sheila J Casement Machovsky, age 103, died March 24, 2026 in the Northwood Deaconess Health Center Nursing Home,

Services will be held Tuesday, March 31 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bakke Funeral Home Chapel, Larimore; with Visitation starting at 10 a.m. A luncheon will be served after the service at Willy’s Bar and Restaurant. Burial will be in the Inkster, ND, Cemetery.

Sheila was born December 28, 1922 and raised in Inkster, ND, that daughter of Sayde Foster Casement and Hugh Thomas Casement. After marrying Laddie L Machovsky on September 2, 1937 in Grand Forks, they lived in Inkster raising their family of 8 children.

Sheila and Laddie were registered as foster parents of Grand Forks County. Their dedication to keeping families of multiple children together had not gone unnoticed with favorable recognition of dedication to both from Grand Forks County Social Services.

Sheila, or gramma by which she was always fondly addressed by, also worked at the Midway High School and with the Grafton State School. She was an active member of the Ladies Aide and was the Presbyterian Church’s Sunday School superintendent for several years.

Survivors are her daughters: Vicky Bakke, Larimore, ND; Debbie Danner, Fergus Falls, MN; sons: Danny (Victoria) Machovsky, Mentor, MN; Dallas Machovsky, Mandan, ND; Ricky (Doug) Carlton, Oklahoma City, OK; 25 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren and 37 great-great-grandchildren.

Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two daughters, one brother, 1 grandson, one granddaughter and one great-grandson
