SHIRLEY MORSTAD
Shirley Morstad, age 80, of Grand Forks, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks.


Shirley was born March 31, 1932 at Conway, ND, the daughter of Joseph and Marcella (Coughlin) Foerster. She was raised and grew to womanhood at Conway where she attended elementary school. She graduated from Fordville, ND, High School in 1950. Shirley attended Valley City State Teachers College, graduating in 1965. She taught for 41 years, including 31 years at Lewis and Clark Ele
mentary School in Grand Forks.


Shirley married Bruce Morstad September 10, 1965. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1997.

Surviving members of her family include her sisters: Donna Kotaska, Thief River Falls, MN and Joanne (Lynn) Sluke, Fordville; several nieces and nephews; her very good friend Cheryl Simundson, Grand Forks; and her dog named “Jenny”.


No funeral services are planned.
