SHIRLEY STEVENS


Shirley Stevens, age 86, of Grand Forks, and formerly of Fordville, ND, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Woodside Village of 4000 Valley Square in Grand Forks.
Shirley was born June 10, 1928 at Fordville, the daughter of Harry and Irene (Pfannsmith) Ridgway. She was raised and grew to womanhood at Fordville where she attended and graduated from High School. Shirley married Glenn Stevens on June 29, 1947 at Fordville. The couple lived and made their home in Fordville. Following their retirement, they moved to Grand Forks.
Surviving members of her family include her husband Glenn, Grand Forks; daughters: Jeanine (Ron) Omdahl, Grand Forks; Ann (Clare) Lee, Minot; Peggy Blasky, Grand Forks; Becky (Tim) Mehlhoff, Grand Forks; grandchildren: Carrie (Chans) Huffman, Nathan (Christine) Blasky, Kelsey (Bryan) Scholler, Jacob and Brooke Mehlhoff; great grandchild: Ryder Blasky; siblings: Dean Ridgway, Fordville; Lois (Paul) Gillespie, Grand Forks; Janice Ward, Billings, MT; and her aunt Lucille Novak. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law: Wayne Blasky and brother-in-law: Durand Ward.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 at the Fordville Lutheran Church in Fordville.

VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral service in the church Monday.

INTERMENT: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fordville.
