Virginia Syverson

Virginia Syverson, age 77, of Larimore, ND passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at her home.

Virginia was born November 22, 1937 in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of James and Anna (Visness) Hanna. She was raised and grew to womanhood at rural Larimore and graduated from Larimore High School. She then attended Valley City State College.

Virginia married Marlin Syverson on October 13, 1957 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Honeyford, ND. After their marriage they lived in Columbia, SC where Marlin was stationed. After his discharge, they moved to Larimore for a short time before moving to Steele, ND. Marlin passed away on September 6, 2003. Virginia moved to Larimore in 2006, where she has lived since.

Virginia enjoyed bowling, and loved spending time with her family.

Surviving members of her family include her daughter: Linda (Jeremy) Paschke, Forest River, ND; sons: Gary (Shelly) Syverson, Bismarck and Jon (Lorilei) Syverson, Spokane, WA; grandchildren: Erin Syverson, Abby Syverson, Jaclyn (Corey) Chapman; Michelle (Steve) Wade, Michael (Alisha) Syverson, Stephanie Syverson, Kaylea Syverson, Nicholas McCabe, Richelle McCabe, Christopher Wick, Dawn Wick, Jarek Paschke, Joshua Paschke and Alyssa Paschke; and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Fr. David Syverson and daughter-in-law: Cindy Syverson.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Steele, ND.

VISITATION: Wednesday, November 4 from 5-7 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service held in the Bakke Funeral Home of Larimore, ND.

INTERMENT: ND Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND
