Wanda Rethemeier

WANDA RETHEMEIER
Wanda Rethemeier, age 49, of Larimore, ND passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at her rural Larimore home.
Wanda was born September 18, 1962 at Cavalier, ND. She was part of a family of 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She was adopted by Harold “Bob” and Caroline Sager; she also gained another brother. Wanda was raised, grew to womanhood and received her education at Starkweather, ND. She also attended Lake Region College in Devils Lake.
Wanda was united in marriage to Glenn Rethemeier on November 20, 1982 at Devils Lake. They lived in Devils Lake for about a year before moving to rural Arvilla. Wanda and Glenn raised three sons, while she held various jobs; her favorite was being a waitress at Larson’s Drive Inn in Larimore.
She enjoyed going to the races and the cookouts afterwards. She was always helping others.
Wanda is survived by her husband Glenn; sons: Patrick Rethemeier; Jonathon (Leslie) Rethemeier and Jason Rethemeier, all of Grand Forks; 3 brothers, 3 sisters; mother: Caroline Sager, Devils Lake; birth parents and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Bob Sager in 2011.


FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Arvilla Presbyterian Church, Arvilla, ND.


INTERMENT: Arvilla Cemetery, Arvilla, ND

VISITATION: Monday, July 30 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service held in the Bakke Funeral Home of Larimore. Visitation will also be for one hour prior to the funeral in the church on Tuesday.
