Wayne Peterson

Wayne A. Peterson, 80, died April 24, 2013 at his home in Buffalo, New York.

Wayne was born December 26, 1932 in Fordville, North Dakota. After graduating from Fordville High School and Wahpeton State College he joined the Army and was stationed at Stansted England where he met his English bride, Patricia M. Druce. Wayne and Pat married in Fordville on April 20, 2013 and just lovingly celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.

Wayne was a draftsman at Ireland’s Lumber Company and became a part-owner. He later worked for Grand Forks Glass & Paint. Wayne and Pat’s daughter, Cherie Peterson, is an attorney in Buffalo, New York and partner in the law firm of Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria, LLP. Cherie and her husband, Dennis Woloszynski, have three children, Mike, A.J. and Rachel. Wayne and Pat moved to Buffalo in 1997 after the Grand Forks flood took their home on Lincoln Drive which Wayne and his father built.

A military honor service will be held in Fordville later this spring. Wayne joins his parents, Peter and Mabel Peterson, his twin brother, Willis, and his sister, Ester Foerster, in eternal life.

MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held at the Fordville Pres byterian Church of Fordville on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 2 P.M.

Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fordville.
